| How
to use Ottergel™ Stain ? |
| It's easy. Just a few simple steps you can achieve a
professional finish, every time. |
| |
 |
| Step 1 :
CLEAN WOOD SURFACE THOROUGHLY |
Surface should be free of finish wax
or contaminates. Sand surface with 280-grit
sandpaper. Always sand in the direction
of the grain so as not to damage the wood
surface. |
|
|
| |
 |
| Step 2 :
FILL CRACKS, NAIL HOLES |
Choose similar or nearest wood putty
colour. Apply with putty knife or scraper.
Press firmly into place. Sand over affected
area. |
|
|
| |
 |
| Step 3 :
RUB STAIN IN CIRCULAR MOTION |
Rub Ottergel with lint free cloth or
sponge. Spread as far as possible to fill
in the wood pores evenly. If stain is too
thick, dilute with mineral spirit or turpentine
liquid. One coat will be sufficient. |
|
|
| |
 |
| Step 4 :
REMOVE EXCESS |
Wipe off excess immediately with dry
cloth. Wipe from one end to another end
in the direction of the wood grain to obtain
a smooth and evenly distributed finish. |
|
|
| |
 |
| Step 5 :
APPLY SANDING SELER |
Brush or spray two coats Otter® Furniture
Lacquer (SANDING SEALER). Sand between coats
with 320-grit sandpaper. |
|
|
| |
 |
| Step 6 :
APPLY WITH BRUSH OR SPRAY TWO COATS OTTER®
FURNITURE CRYSTAL LACQUER |
Apply by using a brush or spray two coats
of Otter® Furniture Crystal Lacquer
(Solvent based). Sand between coats with
